As a privately owned commercial real estate investment company, Ivy Realty initially focused on acquiring and repositioning distressed office properties throughout the New York metropolitan tri-state area. Today, the company dispatches its superior in-house investment, construction and management solutions to a wide range of product types and currently owns or has acquired properties in the New York Metro markets, Boston, MA, Wilmington, DE, Baltimore, MD, Southeast Florida and Colorado.
Full responsibility for all daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting, reporting and analysis on an assigned portfolio of commercial real estate properties, proactive participation in daily operations and effective communication with all levels of management team.
• Communicate directly with asset managers and institutional joint venture partners.
• Oversee lender reporting requirements and prepare necessary documents.
• Liaison with outside tax accountants.
• Critical involvement with new acquisitions and dispositions.
• Preparation of monthly financial reports.
• Engage with Collections Manager to monitor Tenant Accounts Receivable
• Review all tenant monthly billings
• Review and approve vendor disbursements.
• Assist with calculation of monthly and quarterly distributions and capital calls
• Assist/prepare budgets and financial analyses required by Management.
• Prepare year-end operating expense and real estate tax estimates and reconciliations.
Education
• BA or BS degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent work experience.
Work Experience
• 0 - 3 years experience in accounting.
Competencies
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Highly-motivated, deadline oriented, organized, and a self-starter with excellent problem solving skills and leadership qualities.
• Must have the ability to communicate clearly at all operating levels.
