Who You Are:

As the Director of Resource Development, you will work collaboratively with all team members to provide executive leadership and execution of UWGW’s revenue generation strategies.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and lead strategies to grow revenue from all sources.
  • Ensure donors and volunteers experience world-class service and stewardship.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, major donors and leaders within the philanthropic, business and government sectors.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends both inside and outside the UWGW network.

What You Bring:

  • BA/BS in public services, social work, or related field; master’s preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive experience in fund development with demonstrated success in major giving within the non-profit sector.
  • Strong understanding of the social, economic and political landscape of Greater Waterbury.
  • Proven ability to direct, lead, coach and mentor a team in achieving organizational goals.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a clear, 'on-target' writing style.
  • Demonstrated sales skills with a track record of effectively persuading and influencing stakeholders.
  • Unwavering commitment to maintaining integrity and confidentiality of donor information.
  • Creative, results-oriented, self-starter, willing to learn and able to manage an aggressive schedule, working beyond the regular work week as needed.
  • Valid CT driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Salary range: $70,000-$85,000
