Who You Are:

Our company is seeking a detail-oriented Jr Finance Analyst to help provide financial and accounting support to executives and department heads who establish goals and budgets for the organization. This position will take direction with general supervision from the Head of Finance and Accounting and requires interaction with all levels of the organization.

 

The Jr Finance Analyst will oversee and analyze all cost expenditures related to the manufacturing processes in the facility. This position is responsible for producing detailed cost reports and analyses in support of operations and sales. The position is also the finance liaison with the Inventory Analyst in support of accurate and timely inventory general ledger transactions. In addition, the position is responsible for developing and maintaining the financial cost reports necessary to fully explain standard and gross margin analyses and the variances to planned results. All manufacturing cost aspects including material, labor and overhead, price-volume-mix analyses as well as efficiency, productivity and spend variances will be monitored and explained. This information will support monthly results, quarterly forecasts, and annual budget. This position collaborates with and supports the operations, sales/marketing and finance teams with insightful analyses and suggestions for improvements.

What You'll Do:

      • Budgeting and Variance Analysis & Reporting
        • Assist in the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads.
        • Monitor actual performance against budget, identifying key drivers of variance.
        • Assist finance leadership with preparation monthly, quarterly financial reports for management.
      • Business Partnering:
        • Collaborate with operational teams to understand business drivers and provide actionable insights.
      • Ad Hoc Analysis:
        • Conduct special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed.
        • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
        • Assisting accounting/finance teams with various projects & reconciliations and projects’
      • Cost Accounting
        • Setting standard costs of manufactured goods
        • Analyzing data about a company’s operational costs
        • Developing and analyzing cost standards. Evaluate month end results and relation production waste and inventory writeoffs
        • Establishing costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc.
        • Recommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit
        • Acting as the finance lead for annual physical inventory and monthly cycle counts; work with the operational resources responsible for these processes to assure timely and accurate financial reporting implications.

     

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field
  •  2+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in an inventory based / manufacturing
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
