Litigation Paralegal

They are committed to representing accident victims within the tristate area. Their attorneys specialize in helping clients through the complex litigation process to obtain full compensation after a serious or fatal accident.

Liakas Law, P.C. is in search of a full-time Litigation Paralegal located in the Financial District. As a family-owned Plaintiff Personal Injury Firm, we are committed to delivering exceptional service.

• Draft discovery demands, assist with e-discovery, create, and maintain discovery indexes, organize case files, and set discovery deadlines.
• Review and analyze litigation documentation, summarize depositions, organize and summarize medical records.
• Draft Summons and Complaints.
• Draft stipulations and proposed orders.
• Prepare Responses to Demands, Motions, Notices to Produce, & Mediation Statements.
• Draft Bills of Particulars.
• Examination Before Trial / Deposition preparation and scheduling.
• Calendaring dates, scheduling IME’s, & scheduling 50h Hearings.
• Conduct client meetings.
• Maintain communication with clients, attorneys, and NY Courts.

• Legal Drafting and Legal research skills (required) 
• Bills of Particulars experience (required)
• Plaintiff PI and Discovery demands experience (required)
• Associate or Bachelors Degree (preferred) 
• Notary license (preferred)
• Bilingual (Spanish- preferred)
• Organization skills
• Attention to detail
• Excellent Communication Skills

Schedule:

• Mon-Fri, 9am-5:30pm. This is an in-office position

Salary: $55,000- $95,000 per year depending on experience.
