Welder

Architectural Grille, a Division of Giumenta Corporation, located at 42 Second Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, 11215 is a family-owned and operated manufacturing company that has been in business since 1945.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting shop drawings, fabricating various metal components, and performing various TIG welding techniques. The Welder should possess strong attention to detail and ensure the accuracy and quality of welds.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to adhere to them.
• Proficiency in TIG welding techniques
• Familiarity with various metals and welding materials
• Ability to read and interpret show drawings and ensure dimensions are correct.
• Produce neat welds on cores without spillover.
• Produce small welds on frames with no excess weld to grind.
• Weld according to a job’s desired finish
• Check the accuracy of job specifications and squareness upon task completion.

Working Conditions:

• Manual dexterity to handle parts/items and TIG welding
• Physical stamina and dexterity for prolonged periods of standing and manual labor
• May have to carry heavy items (up to 20lbs)
• Near vision - the ability to see things at close range

• Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must demonstrate proficiency in TIG-welding aluminum
• Must demonstrate proficiency in TIG-welding brass
• Must demonstrate proficiency in TIG-welding bronze
• Must demonstrate proficiency in TIG-welding steel
• Proven experience as a Welder
• Time Management skills
• Strong attention to detail and precision work
• Problem sensitivity and creative thinking
• Handling and moving heavy items
• Neat and organized
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively on a team
• Ability to adapt to change

Pay Rate: $21-$22 per hour

Introductory Period: 90 Days 

After Thirty Days:

• Beginning 1/1 after completion of six thru nine years: 20 PTO’s
