Who You Are

The Inception Company is seeking an experienced Technical Producer to lead the planning, execution, and management of Broadcast audio-visual (A/V) production for live events, primarily in the pharmaceutical sector, including on-site advisory boards, hotel speaker trainings, national sales meetings, and live studio broadcasts.  

 

This full-time, hands-on role will oversee Broadcast & A/V events from start to finish, ensuring the highest quality technical delivery at hotel and live venue-based events, as well as supporting traditional studio-based broadcasts from our Fairfield, NJ and Ambler, PA locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional project management skills, and experience in the specific needs of pharmaceutical-related events and live studio production. 

 

This role is crucial in ensuring the success of high-stakes events and live studio broadcasts by providing seamless A/V solutions, from conceptualization to execution, all while maintaining strong client relationships and managing budgets effectively. 

What You'll Do

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Pre-Production & Planning:
    • Collaborate with clients to understand event goals, technical requirements, and A/V needs.
    • Develop comprehensive A/V production plans, timelines, and budgets for each event.
    • Provide technical guidance on sound, lighting, video, and presentation systems, offering tailored solutions to meet client expectations and restraints.
    • Conduct site surveys at hotel, live venue locations, and studio facilities to evaluate technical setups, equipment needs, and logistics.

    

  • Client & Vendor Relations:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the entire event production process, ensuring alignment throughout lifecycle of a project.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with A/V equipment vendors, venue technical teams, and local freelance staff.
    • Negotiate contracts and pricing with A/V suppliers and other event-related service providers.

 

  • On-Site Execution:
    • Supervise and manage A/V setup, testing, and live operation during events, ensuring flawless technical execution.
    • Operate or oversee the use of audio consoles, microphones, video switchers, projectors, displays, and lighting systems as required. 
    • Troubleshoot technical issues in real-time, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees and speakers.
    • Support live broadcasts from the Fairfield, NJ, and Ambler, PA studios, ensuring smooth transitions and broadcast quality during live-streamed and pre-recorded events 

 

  • Budget Management & Financials:
    • Develop and manage event production budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
    • Track costs related to equipment rentals, vendor services, and staffing, providing post-event financial reports, reconciliations, and analysis.

 

  • Business Development & Expansion:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the A/V production service line. 
    • Prepare proposals and pitch A/V production services to potential clients.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and emerging tools to enhance event production offerings. 

What You Bring

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 5+ years of experience in A/V production, with a focus on live events in hotels or conference settings and studio-based broadcast.
  • Experience in corporate & pharmaceutical events spac.
  • Experience interfacing with hotel staff, providing COI’s, loading docks and complex A/V setups.
  • Strong technical knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and networking systems. 
  • Hands-on experience with production equipment such as Yamaha audio consoles, Tricaster and ATEM video switchers, projection systems, and live streaming platforms including Zoom, Teams and RTMP webstreams. 
  • Control room experience within live broadcast studio environments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, working efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong client-facing and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently to event and studio locations, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS: 

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop for video and graphic editing to support event content creation. 
  • Knowledge of live streaming platforms, hybrid event solutions, and virtual event technology. 
  • bility to step-in for various broadcast crew positions for internal and external broadcast events, with examples including: camera operator, robocam operator, PowerPoint/Graphics operator, technical director, teleprompter operator, A1, A2/Stage Manager, webcast encoder.
  • Video production experience, including content capture and editorial.
