Who You Are

The Clinical Assistant is a valuable member of the Vivos clinical team and partners closely with the doctor to ensure high quality care and a WOW patient experience. He/she is key to building positive relationships with the patients and parents. The Clinical Assistant is responsible for completing the diagnostic records, assisting the doctor during exams, and maintaining a clean and safe clinical area.

What You'll Do

  • Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols
  • Welcomes and seats the patient in a friendly, kind and caring manner
  • Provides information to patients and their family members about the Vivos Appliance System
  • Takes necessary records including CBCT scan, digital scans of upper and lower arches and diagnostic photographs
  • Enters necessary information into the patient chart
  • Makes appointment for next visit
  • Takes progress records as directed by the doctor
  • Delivers appliances following Vivos protocols
  • Creates excitement in patients about wearing their appliances
  • Explains compliance tools to patients and parents
  • Educates patients/parents on how to use “Tongue Trainers” or how to do myo-functional exercises
  • Asks patients/parents for referrals
  • Asks patients/parents to complete survey
  • Asks patients/parents to like/follow us on social media
  • Handles the sterilization of instruments by following prescribed procedures and protocols
  • Completes follow up calls/emails to patients/parents after appliances have been delivered per protocol
  • Escorts patients/parents to front desk area to be checked out
  • Maintains the back-office area and treatment rooms in the Vivos Center so that it projects a professional, clean, safe and organized appearance.
  • Protects patients and team members by adhering to infection-control policies and OSHA protocols
  • Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency medical kit, emergency oxygen, and emergency medical equipment
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential per HIPAA protocols
  • Ensures operation of Vivos clinical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Maintains Vivos supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; uses Budget Trackers as trained
  • Maintains the MSDS book
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
  • Understands and is aware of all current Vivos Marketing
  • Conducts Parent Meetings as needed
  • Assists with marketing the Vivos Center in the community, as directed by the Team Leader
  • Assists in the front office as needed
  • Assists the Team Leader as needed
  • Prepares required material for Morning Huddle
  • Attends morning huddle
  • Attends monthly Team Meeting
  • Attends and participates in off-site events (health fairs, community events, etc.) as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma, General Education Degree or higher
  • Dental Assistant Certification (in states where required – can obtain after hire)
  • Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is helpful but not required at time of hire
  • Customer service skills
  • Radiology certification (can obtain after hire)
  • Good interpersonal skillsCPR certification (can obtain after hire)

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $21 to $23, depending on experience and qualifications.
