Who We Are

Collective Energy believes that everyone, no matter who they are, where they live, or how much money they have, should have equal and reliable access to health services, even when the power goes out. As a purpose—and mission-driven business, Collective Energy aims to enable quality, equitable healthcare services for the medically underserved and the most vulnerable in our communities by ensuring energy reliability, affordability, and resiliency by developing low-cost solar and storage systems. These systems bring long-term electricity cost savings and offset carbon emissions.

Who You Are

At Collective Energy, we are looking for candidates who want to be a part of something bigger than themselves – authentic, purpose-driven individuals who want their career to have a meaningful impact on the world. We want strongly motivated, self-directed candidates who thrive on relationships, are focused on helping develop processes and procedures, and are comfortable with a certain level of uncertainty in this early, fast-paced, and rapidly growing environment.

This position is part of an opportunity to develop 125 microgrids (solar+storage) for community health centers in the rural Southeast as part of a funding award from the Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations. The position will help lead the effort to implement solar+storage systems and support clean and resilient energy projects that will significantly impact the climate and the health and well-being of low-income and marginalized communities nationwide.

The Project Director, Southeast, will oversee all aspects of the Award, work with Award and workforce partners, and coordinate all project management activities, including progress tracking on deliverables, stakeholder outreach and engagement, quarterly project reporting, and supporting the development of informational resources. This role is critical—it is a leadership role, and the candidate must reflect the principles of the organization—ensuring our mission-first focus and desire to support the transition of the community health sector to clean and reliable energy while embodying an understanding of the lived experience of environmental justice and diverse communities.

A heavy emphasis will be placed on external communication with leadership, focusing on a passion for helping not just develop solar+storage but also for the health centers, their patients, and communities. The candidate must have strong organizational skills and a dedicated interest in information-sharing project management, focusing on relationships. The position will oversee Collective Energy’s project team and ensure goals are met and communicated to various audiences.

  • Overseeing the editing, distribution, review, filing, and organization of project contracts and documents, such as LOIs, ESAs, EPC Agreements, Permit Applications, Interconnection Agreements, utility rebates and incentive applications, financial models, and consulting agreements.
