Who We Are

Icon Health Logo

Icon Health is an orthopedic navigation and care delivery company for all things musculoskeletal (MSK). Fifty percent of U.S. adults have a MSK disorder: from sprains and strains to back and neck pain. Icon aims to connect these patients to the best care possible, whether that's in-person or digital physical therapy, conservative treatments, surgical procedures, or anything in between.

We believe that the current healthcare system is broken. Patients must become informed consumers of healthcare, and we want to help them get there. With your help, we'll use the unprecedented availability of data on providers, increasing interoperability of diagnosis and treatment information, and widespread technology that allows scale beyond regionalized medicine to usher in a new era. If you are looking for a unique opportunity to improve orthopedic care delivery, we want to talk to you! You will have the opportunity to work with your patient from the initial meeting through resolution of his/her symptoms to ensure the patient is receiving high-quality low-cost care, eliminating duplicative services, and serving as a trusted source of orthopedic truth.

Who You Are

Icon is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to design and implement data frameworks to generate actionable insights and solutions. Develop program code to efficiently ingest a variety of data sources at scale, process them into reliable, accurate and well-generalized models for evaluation and analysis.

You are passionate about working in a modern data stack to solve complex problems with elegant solutions. In this role you will perform the transformation of raw data necessary to enable concise, accurate, and rapid data analysis, create inspired visualizations, surface insights on a wide range of healthcare business challenges, and power downstream machine learning algorithms.

In addition, you will collaborate with the product and delivery team on the definition and requirements of analytics products, within an agile framework. You'll be an integral part of our team with opportunities for coaching and mentorship from your senior colleagues, while also having the autonomy to oversee development of a wide array of technical solutions from a foundational stage.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with team members to collect business requirements and define successful analytics outcomes
  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data models to achieve analytics outcomes
  • Develop reports and dashboards that enable data-driven decision making by the business operations, product, and care delivery teams
  • Drive the development and maintenance of key performance indicators that map the organization’s clinical and operational activities to outcomes
  • Identify new internal and external data sources to support analytics initiatives and work with appropriate partners to integrate the data into new or existing data infrastructure
  • Create and evolve feature store to power rapid and easy training of downstream ML models
  • Build tools/processes for automating repetitive tasks so that bandwidth can be freed for higher value uses
