Who You Are

The Project Controls Manager provides oversite and coordination of project cost control, budgets, risk management estimating, change management, scheduling function, tracking progress, forecasting and communication strategies. The PCM should have strong financial management and provide project cost control, budgets, risk management (project cost control, budgets, forecasting), while providing and risk management (project cost control, budgets, forecasting) oversight coordination of risk management, estimating, change management, scheduling function, tracking progress, etc.

What You'll Do

  • Assist program managers, project managers, and construction managers by leading project controls efforts on projects during initial planning, design, and construction. 
  • Manage financials, procurement, cost and construction budgets. The PCM is expected to manage the financial aspects of a project directly. 
  • Oversee scheduling, estimating and document control for the project in various stages of design and/or construction. 
  • Develop, refine, and implement cost control and document control procedures. Track project progress and perform analysis of bottlenecks, trends, and critical path. 
  • Produce and maintain detailed cash flow reports and earned value analysis. 
  • Oversee the management of third-party contracts and ensure compliance in conjunction with the Contracts & Compliance Administrator 
  • Review and validate contractual compliance of project invoices and pay applications submitted by the design and construction team. 
  • Coordinate with project controls teams to identify and mitigate schedule and budget overruns. 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Financial Analysis, Finance; or comparable proven experience. 
  • 10 + years of relevant cost controls experience is preferred, 7 years minimum.  
  • Certifications are not required but are highly desirable.  Acceptable certifications include: 
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) 
  • Certified Construction Financial Professional (CCFP)  
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) 
  • Certified Cost Consultant/Certified Cost Engineer (CCC/CCE) 
  • Expert proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Excel and SharePoint. 
  • Must have expertise in budgeting, forecasting and project financial management 
  • Must have a working knowledge of Power BI. 
  • Must possess strong math, science, analytical, and critical thinking skills. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction processes and building science. 
  • Understand established quality control programs for design and construction. 
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities. 
  • Must be able to work independently, have good interpersonal skills, and work effectively as a member of a team. 
  • Must be able to effectively function in high pressure situations under constrained time environments. 
  • Must be able to analyze complex data and deliver articulate, clear, and concise messages in a compelling manner verbally and in writing. 
  • Must be familiar with various Project Management software (ex. Owner Insite, PM Vitals, ProCore, Prolog, etc.)  
  • Must be able to manage others

Compensation is based on experience.
