Who You Are

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Cosmetic Formulation Chemist specializing in skincare and haircare product development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and optimizing formulations, ensuring high-quality, stable, and effective products that meet regulatory requirements and market trends.  We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cosmetic Formulation Chemist Team Lead to drive our product development efforts and lead a team of formulation chemists.

What You'll Do

Product Development:

  • Lead the formulation and development of innovative cosmetic products, including skincare, haircare from concept to commercialization.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand product briefs, including market needs, target audience, and desired product features.
  • Translate sales briefs into actionable formulation strategies, initiating the development of innovative cosmetic products, including skincare and
  • Ensure that formulations align with the sales team's vision, consumer expectations, and regulatory guidelines, from concept to commercialization.

Team Leadership:

  • Assign and prioritize tasks, ensuring timely delivery of projects while maintaining high standards of quality and innovation.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.

Research and Innovation:

  • Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and raw materials in the cosmetic industry.
  • Develop new product concepts, improve existing formulations, and explore novel ingredients to create market-leading products.

Quality and Compliance:

  • Ensure all formulations adhere to industry regulations, safety standards, and internal quality guidelines.
  • Oversee stability and compatibility testing, adjusting formulations as needed to meet product performance criteria.

What You Bring

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
  2. 5+ years of experience in cosmetic formulation, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  3. In-depth knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, formulation techniques, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EU, etc.).
  4. Proven track record of successfully developing and launching cosmetic products.
  5. Strong problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
