We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Restaurant Server to join the team at DoubleTree. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional service in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Restaurant Server, you will be responsible for taking food and beverage orders, serving meals, and ensuring a memorable dining experience for hotel guests. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

What You'll Do

  • Greet and escort guests to their tables in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Present menus, answer questions about the menu, and make recommendations based on guests’ preferences.
  • Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly, entering them into the POS system.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure guests’ needs are met throughout the meal, checking in regularly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Handle guest complaints and concerns in a courteous and professional manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including clearing tables and resetting them for new guests.
  • Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines, including food handling, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Upsell food, beverages, and specials to guests in a manner that enhances their dining experience.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the dining area.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens, to provide accurate information to guests.
  • Perform side work and other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager or supervisor.

What You Bring

  • Previous experience as a server in a restaurant, hotel, or similar hospitality environment preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for providing an exceptional guest experience.
  • Knowledge of food, wine, and beverage pairings is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods and carry trays or heavy items.
  • Must be at least [age requirement] years old (depending on local regulations).
  • Responsible Beverage Service certification (if required by local law).
