This is a 100% remote position, based in the United States

Who You Are

The Senior Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a critical role in identifying, qualifying, and nurturing potential customers for Rootstock's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution. This is a highly impactful and fast-paced position that requires a combination of strong communication, sales prospecting mastery, and lead generation skills.

What You'll Do

  • Outbound Prospecting & Lead Generation:
    • Identify and research potential customers through various channels, including LinkedIn, industry databases, and defined ICP level accounts.
    • Conduct outbound prospecting campaigns, including cold calling, email outreach, and social selling.
    • Qualify accounts based on predetermined criteria and identify decision-makers within target accounts.
    • Schedule discovery calls with qualified prospects to begin the process of building pipeline for the top of the funnel.
  • Lead Nurturing:
    • Build and maintain relationships with prospective customers through personalized communication.
    • Provide valuable insights and information to prospects about the benefits of Rootstock’s ERP solution.
    • Respond to inquiries from potential customers in a timely and professional manner.
    • Track and report on all sales activities and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Sales Support:
    • Collaborate closely with Account Executives to support the sales process.
    • Gather market intelligence and competitive information.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes and methodologies.
    • Develop a close relationship with your account executive and formulate GTM plan to work key ICP accounts together for ultimate results
  • Teamwork & Communication:
    • Actively participate in team meetings and share best practices.
    • Maintain strong communication with all internal stakeholders.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

What You Bring

  • Required: 4+ years of professional experience in direct business development or sales development roles.
  • Required: 12-18 months track record of consistent quota/performance achievement.
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent work experience
  • Strongly Preferred: ERP sales experience
  • Strong understanding of the sales process and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales tools.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other social selling platforms.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented.
