Who You Are

The Specialty Services Coordinator supports Home Health Care Coordinators in managing and staffing home health referrals. This role focuses on facilitating the efficient placement of qualified healthcare professionals for home health services, ensuring that patients receive the appropriate care in a timely manner. The Specialty Services Coordinator will collaborate with healthcare staff, home health coordinators, and external vendors to ensure seamless service delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Assist Home Health Care Coordinators in processing home health referrals and matching patients with appropriate care providers.
  • Review patient referral information and coordinate staffing needs, ensuring that the right healthcare professionals are assigned based on patient care requirements.
  • Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to verify patient needs and ensure proper care plans are in place.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient referrals, care assignments, and staffing schedules.
  • Facilitate the recruitment and onboarding process for new healthcare professionals, ensuring all certifications and qualifications are current.
  • Assist in resolving staffing challenges, such as filling shifts or finding appropriate specialists for specific patient needs.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure quality service and satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Monitor patient care delivery to ensure that the services provided meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Provide administrative support to the Home Health Care Coordinators, including managing databases, tracking referrals, and preparing reports.
  • Support in the development of staffing strategies to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving processes and procedures related to home health services.

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field preferred).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in home healthcare, staffing, or a related healthcare coordination role.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and families.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with healthcare management software.
  • Knowledge of home health care regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on patient care and satisfaction.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle staffing issues effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient and staffing information.
