As we continue to grow, we are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our Corporate Controller-Principal.

What You'll Do

  • Payroll Processing: Accurately process bi-weekly payroll, including timekeeping, deductions, and benefits. Ensure compliance with all applicable tax and labor laws.
  • Accounting Support: Assist the Corporate Controller with daily accounting functions, including data entry, reconciliation of accounts, financial reporting, and invoice processing.
  • HR Support: Provide generalist HR support, including maintaining employee records, assisting with benefits administration, and assisting with onboarding processes.
  • Documentation & Filing: Ensure accurate filing and organization of accounting records, financial reports, and HR documents.
  • Assist with Audits: Support the Corporate Controller during audits by preparing necessary documentation and data.
  • Miscellaneous Accounting Tasks: Perform other accounting-related duties as needed to support the Controller and firm operations.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth processing of payroll, accounting, and HR-related inquiries

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting. Business Administration candidates must have completed accounting coursework.
  • Experience: Previous experience in accounting or payroll is preferred but not required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
    • Ability to work well within a team environment
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
    • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
    • Working knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information

 Entry-level (0-2 years of experience): $45,000 - $55,000 per year

Mid-level (2-5 years of experience): $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Experienced (5+ years of experience): $65,000 - $75,000 per year
