Who You Are

BMP USA is looking to fill a new position - Laser Programmer/Draftsman.

 

This is an on-site role (no remote option). 

What You'll Do

Responsibilities/Duties: 

  • Create and modify laser programs using nesting software 
  • Manage production schedule, file structure and drawings 
  • Build and edit 2D and 3D drawings, using Solid Works and DraftSight software 
  • Self-motivated individual that is self-driving and hands-on 
  • Coordinate and take instruction from Production and Engineering Departments 
  • Assist and schedule maintenance equipment 
  • Collaborate with team to improve production processes 

What You Bring

Required Qualifications: 

  • Associates of applied science in drafting or related technical certificate CAD software or 5+ years experience in CAD software 
  • 3+ years of laser experience 
  • 3+ years of laser programming experience 
  • 3+ years of CAD drawing software (preferably Solid Works and DraftSight) 
  • 3+ years of Manufacturing experience 
  • Proven experience as a laser programmer/operator 
  • Strong mathematical skills. 

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment: 

  • Occasionally required to stand

  • Frequently required to sit 
  • Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity 
  • Occasionally required to bend, stoop, kneel  
  • Frequently required to talk or hear 
  • Frequently work near moving mechanical parts  
  • Occasionally work around fumes, or airborne particles 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
