Director of Employment Services/Director of Corporate Partnerships

The Director of Talent Services is charged with providing leadership and strategic direction for corporate partnership building, revenue generation from job placements, participant placement, retention data tracking, and alumnae engagement. The goal is to place 80% of Grace Instituteʼs (GI) graduates in full-time positions within one year of program completion while ensuring 80% of alumnae retain employment after one year, and engaging at least 50% of the alumnae in ongoing professional development opportunities. The Director of Talent Services will be developing, stewarding, managing and leveraging relationships with external corporate partners and potential employers to build high-level employer and internship partnerships with organizations. An ideal candidate for this position will be someone who has five or more years supporting workforce development in the New York City area, or another major metropolitan city. As a member of the Senior Management Team, the Director works closely with the Chief Executive Officer and other senior leaders to ensure that the organizationʼs mission is achieved.

Responsibilities ( including but not limited to):

• Develop and grow large hiring pipelines with corporate partners through networking, cold calling, and individual meetings with potential employers.
• Actively remain up-to-date with trends in the labor market and workforce development; create linkages in the workforce community to raise Grace Instituteʼs profile.
• Develop scalable, sustainable partnership models and talent solutions that position Grace Institute as a thought leader and strategic partner in workforce development, including exploring fee-for-service or pay-for-placement opportunities that diversify revenue streams.
• Collaborate with the Partnership Committee of the Board of Directors to both provide hiring and partnership data, and along with Chief Strategy Officer, create new employer corporate relationships.
• Oversee a team of five Talent Service members and an alumnae coordinator to place 80% of 350 + women in living wage jobs annually. Hold the team accountable for monthly placement outcomes.
• Facilitate weekly individual supervision and team meetings to ensure performance goals are met.
• Provide Chief Strategy Officer with employer and alumnae feedback so that the program curriculum and participant engagement strategy and supports are updated to be employer-driven and meet the needs of our participant population
• Oversee department budget and work with the Chief Executive Officer and senior leadership to determine additional funding and resources for programming.
• Manage and analyze performance data tracking in Salesforce for placement and retention; provide statistical reports to management and for funders.
• Utilize alumnae and employer feedback to develop and implement continuing professional development for Alumnae to facilitate career growth and to develop and implement socio-emotional supports to facilitate stability to job search, personal and career growth.
• Identify emerging industry sectors and evolving job roles to proactively shape departmental strategy, ensuring Grace Institute remains ahead of workforce trends and continues to prepare participants for in-demand careers of the future.
• Lead long-term planning and innovation within the Talent Services team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, and responsiveness to shifts in employer needs and the broader economic landscape.

• Bachelorʼs degree required; Masterʼs degree preferred
• Five or more years supporting workforce development in the New York City area, or another major metropolitan city
• Five years of management experience required in leading staff or project teamand meeting established goals
• Experience with adult education and direct service training
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM database
• Experience working with unemployed or underemployed individuals women
• Knowledge of NYC requirements for administrative positions
• Superior organizational skills. Ability to balance the needs of multiple accounts.
• Quantitative and qualitative approach to organizing and analyzing data
• Effective communication/public speaking skills, and the ability to connect authentically with people from a variety of different professional and cultural backgrounds
• Exceptional written communication skills
• Team-oriented and proactive, comfortable in a very visible, high-volume environment

• Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000
