The Vice President (VP) of Sales and Marketing leads strategic growth initiatives in the barriers and barricades industry, specializing in infrastructure safety and sustainable solutions. This executive oversees all revenue generation and brand-building efforts, guiding a national or global team to expand the company’s reach into new and existing markets. The ideal candidate brings strong industry knowledge, a passion for sustainability, and extensive executive-level networking experience.

What You'll Do

Core Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Growth opportunities in transportation, urban planning, and environmentally driven infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to shape corporate strategy and long-term vision.

Sales Management & Business Development

  • Direct and grow a high-performance sales organization covering B2B and public sector clients.
  • Lead strategic account management, including municipal, DOT, construction, and commercial sectors.
  • Negotiate high-value contracts, framework agreements, and public bids.

Marketing & Brand Development

  • Oversee all branding, advertising, PR, content, and event marketing efforts.
  • Position the company as an innovator in sustainable safety infrastructure solutions.
  • Lead go-to-market campaigns that emphasize the performance and environmental benefits of the company’s products.

Networking & Industry Engagement

  • Represent the company at industry associations, trade shows, and professional events (e.g., ATSSA, ASCE, or APWA).
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, procurement leaders, large contractors, urban planners, construction firms, engineering firms and environmental groups.
  • Develop strategic partnerships and alliances that support market expansion and product innovation.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, securing thought leadership opportunities such as speaking engagements, panels, and industry roundtables.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with product development and manufacturing to ensure market alignment.
  • Integrate customer feedback and market data into product and service enhancements.
  • Drive synergy between marketing and sales teams to optimize outreach and conversion.

 

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Set and monitor KPIs for sales growth, market penetration, and marketing ROI.
  • Provide detailed forecasts, competitive insights, and business development reports to the CEO and Board.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years in sales and marketing leadership in manufacturing, construction, or infrastructure sectors
  • Proven success in growing business through direct sales and networking channels
  • Strong network within transportation, municipal, construction, engineering, military, and/or public infrastructure sectors
  • Skilled in strategic selling, public sector engagement, and cross-functional leadership
  • Proficient in CRM, ERP systems, and modern marketing technologies
