Tax Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Staff Accountant to join our growing tax team. The ideal candidate will assist with preparing federal, state, and local tax returns, perform tax research, and support clients and internal teams with compliance and planning.

• Prepare individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
• Assist with tax planning and consulting projects
• Maintain client relationships and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
• Research tax issues and summarize findings
• Keep up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
• Assist with audits and respond to IRS/state notices
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in all tax filings

• 2–8 years of tax or accounting experience (internships count)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field or commensurate w/ Experience
• CPA or CPA/EA candidate preferred
• Familiarity with tax software – Quickbooks, Lacerete, Proconnect
• Strong Excel and general computer skills
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
