Who You Are

The Accounting Manager responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial data, assisting with internal reporting, and contributing to the smooth functioning of accounting processes. The Accounting Manager collaborates with internal teams to ensure effective financial operations and provides guidance on accounting policies and procedures.This role works closely with the SVP of Finance, the external accounting team, the Director of People Operations, the Account Manager and other departments to maintain accurate records and support business operations.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities:
● Department Oversight: Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll accounting, and bank reconciliations.
● Month-End and Year-End Close: Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
● Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements and internal reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP or other relevant standards.
● Audit Support: Coordinate internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and implementing recommendations as needed.
● Policy and Procedure Management: Develop, maintain, and enforce accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient operations.
● Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and accounting files; assist in updating policies and procedures as needed.
● Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure financial transactions are properly recorded and support cross-functional initiatives with financial data as needed.
● Systems and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems and processes, and support implementation of upgrades and enhancements.

What You Bring

Required Skills and Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
● 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
● Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
● Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
● Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
● Proficiency with Google Workspace and CRM software is a plus.
● Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
● Strong organizational and communication skills.
● Team player with a positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package!

 

Salary: $90,000-$110,000 annually.
