ACES is seeking a Data Storage Administrator (Cloud Architect) responsible for the design, implementation, and management of cloud storage solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate extensive expertise in cloud engineering, high-performance computing, DevOps, collaboration tools, and secure network connectivity. The role involves identifying optimal cloud solutions, documenting requirements, and ensuring compliance with DoD and Navy security standards.

What You'll Do

· Gather and document requirements using a formalized approach for areas such as Cloud, collaboration tools, DevOps, network connectivity, and high-performance computing.

· Identify Department of Navy authorized offerings, including NR&DE Cloud, DISA Cloud, and others relevant to mission needs.

· Analyze available solutions to effectively leverage authorized cloud technologies.

· Develop and recommend solutions to address gaps between existing capabilities and departmental requirements.

· Establish a Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&M) that details short-, mid-, and long-term solutions for cloud adoption and integration.

· Support the development and documentation of Change Management, provisioning, and management processes.

· Define and track success criteria for cloud deployments aligned with project and organizational goals.

· Assess existing products to determine optimal cloud solutions and create a multi-year roadmap for cloud migration.

· Collaborate closely with network infrastructure teams and RMF accreditation teams to proactively overcome deployment roadblocks.

· Ensure all cloud deployments are aligned with DoD and Department of Navy IT security and infrastructure requirements.

What You Bring

· Certifications: Active IAT-II Certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC)

· Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical degree from an accredited college or university, and seven (7) years’ relevant experience in software engineering or IT systems architecture. At least three (3) years must include demonstrated experience as a Cloud Engineer/Architect with proven success in cloud engagements and digital transformations, including Azure or AWS implementations, rollout strategies, and cloud governance planning.

· Technical: Skilled in formalized requirements gathering, comprehensive analysis of authorized cloud technologies, and developing actionable recommendations for addressing capability gaps.

· Experienced in crafting detailed Plans of Actions & Milestones (POA&M), managing Change Management and provisioning processes, and collaborating closely with network infrastructure and Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation teams.

· Proficient in aligning cloud deployments with stringent security and infrastructure standards mandated by the Department of Defense and the Department of the Navy.
