Who You Are

This is a full time salary plus commission role. To best meet the needs of our clients and to achieve and exceed sales targets, the Sales & Design Consultant will work a 5-day per week schedule which includes a Saturday shift: Tuesday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Saturday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales (within the high-end furniture or interior design industry), be results-oriented, and have an eye for interior design.

What You'll Do

Sales and Consultation:

  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients, architects, interior designers, and other industry professionals.
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource for clients, offering expert advice on our range of furniture, design possibilities, and space optimization solutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive product presentations and consultations to showcase the benefits and features of our furniture offerings.
  • Understand client requirements, preferences, and budget to provide tailored recommendations and design solutions.
  • Negotiate and successfully close sales, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing revenue opportunities.

Product Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of our company's collection, staying updated with new releases, features, functionality and specifications.
  • Continuously expand your knowledge of interior design trends, furniture industry developments, and emerging technologies.
  • Conduct thorough research and actively participate in industry events to network and stay to informed about competitors' offerings and market dynamics.

Design and Space Planning:

  • Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and interior designers to develop functional and aesthetically pleasing furniture layouts.
  • Deliver renderings including measurement specifications to clients, ensuring clear communication of design concepts and product requirements.
  • Offer innovative design solutions that optimize space utilization, functionality, and visual appeal.
  • Learn proprietary CAD software to create 3D design layouts for clients, incorporating our furniture solutions seamlessly into their spaces; partnering with in-house drafters on more complex designs.

What You Bring

Requirements:

  • Extensive sales experience within the high-end furniture or interior design industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and maintain relationships with a diverse clientele.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand client needs and effectively translate them into design solutions.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and client requirements.
  • Knowledge of interior design principles and trends.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite and Excel highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Sales: 2 years (Required)
  • NetSuite: 1 year (Preferred)
  • AutoCAD: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Interior design (furniture, kitchen/bath design, etc.): 1 year (Required)

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefit package including:

  • Annual Base Salary: $45,000.00
  • Commission Pay: 3% commission on every sale. Commissions are paid out monthly after order placement
  • Bonus Pay: Monthly bonus based on both individual sales quota and overall Showroom performance
