We are seeking a self-motivated, self-sufficient Operations Production Support Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.

Who You Are

The Operations Production Support Specialist is responsible for supporting daily production operations, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth communication between departments. This role requires a high level of initiative, independence, and the ability to identify and resolve problems proactively with minimal supervision. Proficiency in production software tools is essential, as this position plays a key role in managing workflows, tracking issues, and supporting digital processes that keep operations running efficiently.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance and maintain production platform/software tools through continued development and automation to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and ensure data integrity.
  • Act as a central support resource for daily production operations.
  • Proactively identify workflow issues and independently implement solutions.
  • Track production schedules, material flow, and ensure on-time completion of jobs.
  • Resolve production and process bottlenecks in real-time.
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Logistics, Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Department to resolve technical issues, clarify specifications, and support product improvements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production metrics and reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with onboarding and cross-training of new or transitioning team members.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Operations, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production support role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and follow through to completion.
  • Above-average computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, tables, reporting), Word, and Outlook.
  • Hands-on experience in deploying, customizing, and maintaining production tracking tools, inventory/production software, and database operations.
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills; must be comfortable compiling and presenting production data.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or manufacturing specifications.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.
  • Exposure to process improvement initiatives or operation optimization projects.
  • A solution-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and operational obstacles.
  • Experience in industrial equipment or door manufacturing is preferred but not required.
