Who You Are

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investor Relations Associate to join our team. This cross-functional position will report to the Partners of the firm and will be instrumental in ensuring an exceptional client journey for our Limited Partners (LPs). The Associate will aid in the expansion of new relationships and the management of existing LP relationships. This involves orchestrating capital formation and investor relations efforts across multiple internal functions, such as investment professionals, finance, legal, and compliance personnel. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in the venture capital and technology space.

 

What You'll Do

Core Responsibilities

Investor Engagement & Relationship Management:

  • Identify and connect with prospective investors, supporting engagement initiatives and fostering a vibrant investor community within the established network.
  • Cultivate and strengthen existing LP relationships through consistent reporting, organized events, and innovative approaches to enhance engagement and stewardship for a sustainable capital base.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of investor-related events, conferences, and logistical arrangements, including representing the company at forums to build new relationships.

Fundraising Support & Materials Preparation:

  • Prepare fundraising materials, including executive summaries, pitch books, private placement memoranda, due diligence questionnaires, and presentation decks.
  • Conduct research on prospective LPs to identify high-capacity investors and prepare briefing documents for leadership meetings and public speaking engagements.
  • Support securing investments from diverse investors (individuals, family offices, corporations, endowments, and institutional funds) and lead projects for lead generation, sales pipeline, and fundraising roadshows.
  • Collaborate with Partners to create content for the LP community, such as quarterly investor letters.

Data Management & Reporting:

  • Maintain investor databases, CRM records, and fund pipelines, managing calendars and email correspondence.
  • Analyze data and KPIs related to fund and investment outcomes to support fundraising and ongoing LP communication.
  • Design financial analyses and collaborate with the Finance team to create dashboards for LP insights on fund performance.
  • Ensure timely, accurate delivery of investor reports, including quarterly, annual, and customized LP-specific requests.
  • Develop deep knowledge of the firm’s portfolio data, articulating key performance drivers and generating actionable insights.
  • Conduct ongoing research on venture capital trends, market insights, and investor behavior to inform the firm’s strategy.

Due Diligence & Process Optimization:

  • Collaborate with investment, finance, legal, and compliance teams to manage investor due diligence and promptly address LP data inquiries.
  • Contribute to and maintain data room content, including ILPA due diligence questionnaires, ensuring materials are updated monthly or quarterly.
  • Lead and optimize investor due diligence processes and procedures.
  • Drive process improvements in fundraising and investor relations, enhancing scalability of fund and investment reporting to meet LP requests.

 

What You Bring

  • 4-5 years of professional experience, with 1-3 years of experience in investor relations or business development in asset management, financial institutions, or placement agencies, or 3+ years in alternative investments (venture capital, private equity, real estate) or investment banking, preferably in technology.
  • Experience in fundraising for venture capital, deep-tech, or startups, and building relationships with high-level stakeholders like C-suite executives and institutional investors.
  • Skilled in creating and managing data rooms, CRM, pipelines, and co-leading investor and portfolio company events.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business or Finance; MBA or certifications (CFA, CAIA) are a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and CRM platforms, with the ability to analyze market trends and synthesize complex data to communicate fund performance.

What We Offer

Competitive compensation: $100k-$150k depending on experience 

 

  • Myriad Venture Partners provides a competitive compensation package and a comprehensive benefits program, aligned with experience and market benchmarks for a senior leadership position. This role is eligible to participate in performance-based incentive programs, as well as extensive benefit plans covering health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a 401K retirement plan.
