Who You Are

We are looking to bring onboard a highly skilled and outcomes-oriented individual to lead our Investor Relations function. This senior professional will be responsible for developing and implementing broad global investor engagement initiatives and overseeing all facets of investor outreach, fundraising and communication. The position entails cultivating and nurturing strong connections with Limited Partners, spearheading fundraising efforts, managing vital communications, and strengthening the firm's brand presence. The Head of Investor Relations will offer strategic perspectives to the firm's leadership and play a pivotal role in Myriad’s overarching marketing and business direction.

 

What You'll Do

Core Responsibilities

Investor Engagement & Capital Generation Leadership:

  • Lead capital raising campaigns globally, including cultivating and sustaining a strong pipeline of potential investors, with a particular focus on family offices, institutional investors, and corporate investors.
  • Oversee the creation and management of fundraising and investor materials, presentation decks, private placement memoranda, and due diligence questionnaires.
  • Create and implement a schedule of touchpoints with investors and ecosystem partners, including conferences, events, content, and meetings.
  • Manage investor due diligence process, which includes guiding due diligence activities and collaborating closely with management on diligence workflows.
  • Regularly furnish the firm with insights regarding significant investor trends, shifts in investment appetite, and investment patterns.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of fundraising activities to fund management.

 

 

LP Reporting & Communication Oversight:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all investor communications, ensuring prompt and accurate responses to LP data queries/requests for information and ongoing reporting obligations.
  • Oversee the development of materials that articulate the firm’s strategy and unique value proposition.
  • Consolidate complex and often diverse qualitative and quantitative data to construct a compelling narrative concerning fund execution.

Marketing & Brand Development:

  • Lead Myriad Venture Partners’ brand positioning and narrative creation across all investor channels.
  • Ensure alignment between investor communications and broader marketing campaigns to underscore the firm's distinct competitive advantage.
  • Organize and execute investor events, such as annual general meetings, online seminars, industry conferences, and in-person gatherings, to strengthen LP engagement and reflect the firm’s identity.

Market Analysis & Strategic Advice:

  • Gather market intelligence and conduct continuous research on the venture capital sector, including industry best practices and relevant market data.
  • Analyze market conditions, competitive landscapes, and industry shifts to provide strategic recommendations.
  • Construct dashboards that offer key insights to LPs on fund and investment performance, including anticipated exit scenarios, liquidity, and subsequent investment decisions.
  • Offer strategic advice to the firm based on investor feedback and participate in strategic planning initiatives.

What You Bring

Qualifications & Background

  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience, with ideally seven or more years dedicated to investor relations within an asset management firm, financial institution, or placement agency, or a proven history in institutional fundraising, corporate development, or business development with venture capital firms.
  • Strong relationships with large existing network of limited partners with a history of allocating capital to early-stage venture strategies or emerging fund managers.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred; an advanced degree (MBA) or professional certifications (CFA) would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated capability to cultivate and sustain relationships with senior-level stakeholders, including C-suite executives, institutional investors, or analysts.
  • A strong grasp of venture capital markets and investment methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, combined with experience managing CRM systems, Google Docs, and financial modeling tools.

What We Offer

Competitive compensation: $150k-$200k depending on experience 

 

  • Myriad Venture Partners provides a competitive compensation package and a comprehensive benefits program, aligned with experience and market benchmarks for a senior leadership position. This role is eligible to participate in performance-based incentive programs, as well as extensive benefit plans covering health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a 401K retirement plan.

Effective 09/17/2023 NYC passed a Pay Transparency Law which requires NYC based hiring to include a compensation range on each job posting.
