Who You Are

This leadership position is designed to cultivate exceptional experiences for both early-stage companies and large enterprises. Ensuring early-stage companies have immediate access to vital resources for scalable growth and a competitive edge, and assisting large enterprises in understanding their technology roadmaps and introducing technology solutions to accelerate those roadmaps. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and expanding the Myriad Venture Partners platform function, acting as a strategic partner to founders and c-suite executives, a central connector for critical operational and growth support. This opportunity calls for a highly motivated and versatile professional, and combines strategic vision with a hands-on approach.

 

What You'll Do

Core Responsibilities

Portfolio Company Success & Support:

  • Serve as a dedicated resource and primary point of contact for founders, proactively addressing their diverse inquiries and connecting them with appropriate support across the organization.
  • Facilitate access to crucial resources and networks that aid in critical areas such as talent acquisition, business development, marketing, communication strategies, customer connections, and strategic partnerships.
  • Design, pilot, and manage tailored programs and resources including educational series, strategic playbooks, and expert networks, specifically aimed at enhancing companies' market entry and capital-raising efforts.
  • Manage communication channels with portfolio companies and lead marketing and network-facing initiatives to elevate their visibility and impact.
  • Act as “firm champion” during competitive deal processes by showcasing Myriad’s value-add as a partner to founders of potential future portfolio companies.

Operational Support & Data Management:

  • Support the ongoing development and refinement of processes for tracking portfolio introductions and strategic collaborations, while collaborating with the investment team on ongoing optimization of internal workflows related to portfolio management, integrating new tools, automation, and artificial intelligence to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Contribute to portfolio data analysis for various internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Support the fund's investment operations, contributing to seamless execution and due diligence processes.

Strategic Ecosystem Engagement & Community Building:

  • Facilitate recurring and ongoing engagements with Myriad’s Executive Advisory Board (EAB) and Strategic Advisory Board (SAB) networks, including quarterly and ad-hoc touch points and deep dive workshops with SAB members and businesses.
  • Intimate knowledge of technology and use case needs across EAB and SAB members ecosystem, and similar needs/positioning across similar corporate verticals, and an understanding of what solutions in the market can meet those needs, or should be built to meet those needs.
  • Shepherd portfolio company introductions and collaborations with connection points across Myriad’s broad network of corporate partners.
  • Expand and strengthen relationships within the broader ecosystem, including corporate partners, operators, investors, academic institutions, and peer firms, to unlock leverageable connections for portfolio companies.
  • Design, organize, and execute impactful events such as workshops, networking sessions, and founder meetups that enrich the community and support ecosystem vibrancy.

What You Bring

Qualifications & Background

  • A proven track record of at least 4-5 years in a platform, operations, management consulting, investment banking, venture capital, high-growth startup, or similar dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing relationships and vendors from a platform partnership standpoint and business building through technology introductions.
  • Proficiency in data management within relational databases and experience with CRM systems.
  • A bachelor's degree or higher is expected, with an advanced degree preferred.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and the capacity for data interpretation and management.
  • Ability to navigate through and engage with corporate network stakeholders.
  • Adaptability & Responsiveness: Understanding that startup challenges are multi-faceted and often require urgent attention, along with flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend responsibilities as internal and external needs dictate.

What We Offer

Competitive compensation: $100k-$150k depending on experience 

 

  • Myriad Venture Partners provides a competitive compensation package and a comprehensive benefits program, aligned with experience and market benchmarks for a senior leadership position. This role is eligible to participate in performance-based incentive programs, as well as extensive benefit plans covering health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a 401K retirement plan.

Effective 09/17/2023 NYC passed a Pay Transparency Law which requires NYC based hiring to include a compensation range on each job posting. This compensation range is presented in good faith for candidates that are hired in these roles will be presented a salary within the range stated on the job posting
