Ophthalmic Diagnostic Technician

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM Flexibility is key, with occasional availability required on weekends and evenings.

• Extend a warm and courteous welcome to patients, ensuring they feel valued and cared for from the moment they enter the clinic
• Promptly attend to their needs with a helpful demeanor, setting a positive tone for their visit.
• Manage the flow of patients in waiting areas and exam rooms, proactively identifying and addressing any delays to minimize wait times
• Accompany patients to exam rooms with care and consideration
• Provide assistance to physicians during patient exams
• Perform advanced diagnostic testing, including Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Visual Field testing, Fundus Photography, and Corneal Topography, with precision and accuracy
• Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) documentation of patient appointments

Qualifications:

• Demonstrates strong proficiency with digital tools, software, and technology systems relevant to the role.
• Demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Exhibit reliability, responsibility, and a strong work ethic in fulfilling job duties and meeting performance expectations
• Possess a keen eye for detail and a meticulous approach to tasks
• Shows empathy, compassion, and sensitivity in interactions with patients
• Possess strong multitasking and prioritization skills

Education Requirement:

• High school diploma or GED
