Sr. Zscaler Engineer

We have a hybrid Sr. Zscaler Engineer position available in Washington, DC. If you join our team in this role, you will design and deploy Zscaler in a complex enterprise environment that supports our government client.

• Design, configure, and manage an enterprise-grade environment to support identity management and access control across a complex enterprise environment.
• Lead the implementation and administration of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) to enable secure, cloud-based network access and support Zero Trust architecture initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in the modernization of identity and access infrastructure, contributing to architecture decisions, roadmap planning, and best practices.
• Support the integration of Zscaler and other security technologies, ensuring seamless user authentication, policy enforcement, and secure remote access.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, networking, and cloud teams to ensure Zscaler configurations align with organizational security policies and performance requirements.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot issues in Zscaler environments, ensuring high availability and security compliance.
• Provide operational support, documentation, and knowledge transfer to internal teams, ensuring continuity of service and support for the modernization initiative.
• Maintain awareness of current security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices relevant to identity management and cloud security.
• Utilize working knowledge of Windows Server platforms and networking concepts (VLANs, TCP/IP, firewalls) to support integrated systems and services

• • Interacting with government clients on a regular basis.
  • Working understanding of project management best practices.
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Zscaler Implementation
    • Deploy and configure Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
    • Integrate Zscaler with SAML for seamless authentication and policy enforcement.
    • Optimize Zscaler configurations for performance and security.
    • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Zscaler solutions
  • Project management processes
  • Documentation
    • Develop comprehensive documentation for all configurations, processes, and procedures.
    • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and training for internal IT staff.
  • PowerShell or other scripting tools
  Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Experience in Federal Government IT environments
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA)
  • Relevant certifications (Microsoft Certified, Identity and Access Administrator, Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional).  
  • Disaster Recovery planning and deployment
  • ITIL Foundations certification
  Clearance:
  Must be able to obtain a Public Trust - Secret clearance.
