K2 Environmental Consulting (K2EC) is looking to hire an experienced Air Permitting professionals for our Trenton, NJ Office. K2EC provides environmental consulting and technical expertise for air quality, mobile sources, and sustainability projects. The candidate will be a member of K2EC team providing technical support at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP). Conduct technical and regulatory review of air permit applications, under guidance and supervision of
senior staff, in accordance with the requirements in New Jersey’s Air Permitting regulations found at
N.J.A.C. 7:27-8 and N.J.A.C. 7:27-22. The tasks include applicability analysis of State and Federal air
regulations, preparing regulatory interpretations and compliance determinations, preparing technical
correspondence and staffing the technical helpline to answer questions from the regulated entities,
public, and consultants.
BS degree in engineering or environmental science. 3+ years of experience in the field of air permitting
and pollution control. Ability to understand, interpret, and apply information of New Jersey laws, rules,
and regulations, and Federal regulations relating to air pollution control. Experience in industrial
operations and processes, and familiarity with air permitting regulations and pollution control
technologies will be a plus. Good computer proficiency, communication skills, and detail oriented.
Position Salary:
65k-70k
