Part-time Accountant

Raistone is seeking a Certified Public Accountant to support the company’s accounting activities including our books and records, compliance, tax, and financial statement preparation. We are a small company, and this is a very “hands-on” opportunity. In addition, the position will comprise some financial analysis, operations execution and project work. Experience working in accounting for a small financial services company (factor, hedge fund, private equity, venture capital, trade finance, specialty finance) would be helpful.

The successful candidate will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and Senior Accountant and will be a resource for the Chief Financial Officer as needed. The company’s leadership is committed to the long-term personal and professional growth of the Raistone team.

• Maintain and update the general ledger
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and gather support and documentation for sales tax returns
• Support the Chief Accounting Officer & Senior Accountant with year-end audits
• Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Manage the process for reimbursement of travel and expense claims
• Cross train to prepare the daily entries booked in NetSuite

• 2+ years of experience in public accounting and/or a private financial services company (factor, hedge fund, private equity, venture capital, trade finance, specialty finance)
• A. in Accounting and CPA or equivalent experience preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Attention to detail and an ability to complete work accurately against strict deadlines
• Organized and efficient, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task based on urgency of business needs
• Operational experience a plus
• Familiarity with Salesforce and NetSuite preferred
• Experience with trade finance products such Receivable Finance or Invoice Discounting would be helpful but is not required
• Pay rate: $25/hr - $35/hr
