Who You Are

The Program Manager is responsible for driving the success of various programs and projects, ensuring alignment with CaroNova’s mission and purpose. This role supports CaroNova’s overall aims to drive health transformation across the Carolinas through the day-to-day execution of initiatives. The position operates in a fast-paced environment, serving as a leader with a proven track record in managing complex projects from inception to completion. The Program Manager is essential in ensuring tactical execution of CaroNova programs through administrative and logistical support.

The Program Manager is a highly organized and strategic thinker with experience in managing complex programs and projects. The Program Manager possesses strong leadership skills, demonstrated by an ability to guide and inspire cross-functional teams toward achieving program goals. The Program Manager excels in communication, is proficient in project management tools, adept at risk management, and has a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. The Program Manager is adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Develop detailed project plans, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure successful project completion
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any issues that arise
  • Support the development of project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of program meetings including scheduling, meeting summaries and minutes, preparing agendas, securing locations, and managing audio/visual needs.
  • Proactively monitor project plans to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful program delivery
  • Support the coordination of internal and external resources to ensure projects remain within scope, on schedule, and within defined budgets. 
  • Provide research support to assigned projects to include assisting with literature reviews, primary and secondary data collection, and relevant analysis
  • Manage project/program level invoicing, conduct budget forecasting, monitor budget performance, and budget reconciliation with project team members
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and collateral for assigned programs
  • Support the maintenance and development of web content related to assigned programs maintain permissions on all project related content
  • Travel of ~2 days per month across the Carolinas is expected

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, public policy, or related field preferred
  • 5 years of leadership experience in non-profit health, social, or educational organization
  • Exceptional communication, project execution, and relationship-building skills

What We Offer

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 annually. CaroNova offers competitive benefits to include a 401k with a 5% employer contribution, fully-paid healthcare, dental, and vision premiums for employees, 16 paid holidays per year, 20 days PTO, and a home tech stipend.
