Systems Administrator/IT Support

Sam Ash Music is now officially part of the Gonher Music Group, the largest distributor of musical instruments and professional sound equipment in Mexico. Gonher’s expertise in customer service, logistics, and vendor relations will help streamline Sam Ash’s online shopping experience. 

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Systems Administrator / IT Support professional to join our IT team. This role is responsible for helping to maintain the stability, integrity, and security of IT infrastructure while providing support to end users. The ideal candidate has a strong background in system administration, desktop support, and networking, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Maintain and support Windows servers, user desktops, and cloud-based systems.
• Provide hands-on technical support for hardware, software, and network issues (onsite and remote).
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security using appropriate tools.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print services.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain workstations, laptop, and mobile devices.
• Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including account creation and hardware setup.
• Patch and update systems and software regularly to ensure security and compliance.
• Assist with documentation of processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Participate in IT projects and contribute to system upgrades, migrations, and implementations.

• 3+ years of experience in a similar IT support or systems administration role.
• Proficient in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Experience with network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls).
• Strong understanding of desktop operating systems.
• Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) is a plus.
• Familiarity with backup solutions, endpoint protection, and patch management tools.
• Team player with a customer-service mindset and excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This position requires working onsite in Hicksville, NY.

Salary Range $80K-$100k Based on experience.
