LMSW/LMHC/LCSW Psychotherapist (Remote)

Metro Psychotherapy & Counseling is a group private practice that provides psychotherapy to young adults, Middle aged adults, elderly, and couples. We work with a wide range of communities, groups and populations.

We are currently seeking a psychotherapist with a proven track record of working with diverse populations. The ideal candidate will possess cultural competence, sensitivity, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and strengths within diverse communities. We encourage applications from therapists who are passionate about providing inclusive and culturally competent mental health services. Spanish Speaking candidates and candidates who are passionate at developing a niche is a plus!

We pride ourselves in not just on creating safe and prosperous space for our clients, but for our staff as well. The position is Hybrid and requires the candidate to provide therapy in-person at our Bethpage location on Wednesdays and Thursdays. You choose what Telehealth days and time you work. All clinicians willing to work least 23 scheduling hours a week, are entitled to $500 stipend per year any training of the therapist's choosing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide intake assessments and administer psychotherapy to individuals and couples(if desired).
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation in accordance with insurance and practice expectations.
• Schedule appointments with patients.
• Participate in weekly team meetings.
• Perform a variety of other job-related responsibilities as requested.

• Active NYS LCSW/LMSW/LMHC/MHC-LP license.
• Proven success utilzing intervention, such as ACT and/or CBT.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience in psychiatric assessment and diagnosis.
• Ability to maintain clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans.
• Experience working with electronic medical records.
• Reliable computer and internet service and appropriate remote work environment to ensure privacy and confidentiality.

Position Salary:

$38-$60/hour
