The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounting practices, the maintenance of its fiscal records and the preparation of its financial reports. This role has overall responsibility for general accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting, and budgetary controls.
Key Responsibilities
· Participates in or directs the development of company accounting policy and procedures.
· Maintain company general ledgers. Prepare and reconcile balance sheets and weekly reports.
· Prepares consolidated operating and financial statements.
· Initiate budgeting process and prepare annual reports.
· Maintains accounts ledger, cost accounting, the maintenance of accounts.
· Manage physical inventory.
· Develop standards for company products.
Required Qualifications:
· Master’s Degree (MA) or equivalent, or four to ten years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Computer skills required:
· Accounting Software; Contract Management Systems; Development Software; Inventory Software; Microsoft Office Suite; Payroll Systems; Project Management Software.
· Other skills required:
· At least 10 years’ experience in broad corporate accounting functions, at least 3 of which show high degree of competency in manufacturing business, preferably job-shop in nature.
· At least 3 years of experience as a manager or supervisor of an accounting department for a manufacturing business.
· Experience with automated financial applications.
· Ability to apply financial/accounting knowledge correctly in situations where procedures may not be prescribed or defined.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus
