Who You Are

The Measurement and Impact Analyst is responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing various datasets, including health data, to inform CaroNova’s project development, evaluation, and dissemination efforts. Reporting to the Director of Measurement and Impact, the Analyst will work collaboratively across the organization to understand evaluation needs, develop analysis plans, and communicate findings to teammates. The Analyst plays a key role in ensuring CaroNova’s programmatic and policy initiatives are effective and achieving intended targets. Travel of 1-2 days per month across the Carolinas is expected.

 

The Ideal Candidate

The Measurement and Impact Analyst is a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in public health, health informatics, social science, or biostatistics. The Analyst holds excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, demonstrated by an ability to analyze complex health data and draw actionable insights. The Analyst is versatile with skills in quantitative and qualitative methods and analysis, data visualization and dashboard development. They are proficient in using statistical software and have experience working with a variety of datasets including claims data, electronic health records, national surveys and qualitative transcripts. The Analyst has a solid understanding of healthcare systems, policies, and regulations. They are an effective communicator, capable of presenting findings clearly to various stakeholders, as well as a collaborative team player with a commitment to data-driven decision-making to achieve CaroNova’s mission.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement project monitoring, evaluation, research and learning plans
  • Succinctly and accurately synthesize data and results into actionable insights
  • Support partners and program sites with data collection, abstraction, quality assurance and streamlining data workflows
  • Lead dashboard development using platforms such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Create data visualizations for reports and presentations
  • Identify and source existing data aligning with project needs including preparing IRB and data request applications, as needed
  • Manage incoming datasets and conduct quality assurance
  • Perform data cleaning, dataset transformation and statistical analysis
  • Perform qualitative analysis and synthesis
  • Support data collection tool development including survey design, interview guide preparation and design of abstraction and reporting templates
  • Leverage digital data collection software (e.g., ODK/KoboToolbox, SurveyCTO, RedCap, etc.) to program surveys in support of project plans
  • Conduct literature reviews and landscape analyses as assigned
  • Collaborate on the dissemination of evaluation results through reports, case studies, manuscripts, presentations, etc.
  • Support management of data and evaluation subcontracts

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in public health, statistics, or a related field, preferred
  • Experience conducting program monitoring and evaluation
  • Experience applying quantitative and qualitative research methods and analysis using statistical software such as Stata, SAS, and R, and qualitative tools such as Nvivo, Atlas.ti and Excel
  • Experience with project/study management
  • 5 years+ of experience in non-profit health, social, or educational organization
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • Qualifications may be met through a mix of formal education and relevant work experience

What We Offer

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 annually. CaroNova offers competitive benefits to include a 401k with a 5% employer contribution, fully-paid healthcare, dental, and vision premiums for employees, 16 paid holidays per year, 20 days PTO, and a home tech stipend.
