Who You Are

As a Sales Engineer, you will serve as the technical expert and trusted advisor to customers throughout the sales process. You will be responsible for promoting and selling Leica Geosystems’ portfolio of hardware and software solutions, including total stations, GNSS systems, laser scanners, and reality capture technologies. This role combines technical expertise with sales acumen, working directly with surveyors, civil engineers, contractors, and other AEC professionals to provide tailored technology solutions that meet client needs.

 

On-site, Monday thru Friday, Salt Lake City, UT

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop sales opportunities for Leica Geosystems’ portfolio (including total stations, GNSS, laser scanners, UAVs, and software).
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of sales opportunities within the assigned region or market segment
  • Provide technical consultation and product demonstrations to customers, including surveyors, engineers, and construction professionals.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend suitable Leica solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and product teams to drive awareness and adoption of new technologies.
  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and customer events to represent the company and demonstrate product capabilities.
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals, product specifications, and quotations.
  • Provide feedback from customers to support product development and improvement.
  • Assist in post-sales support and training to ensure successful deployment of solutions.
  • Maintain CRM record

What You Bring

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying, Construction, or related field preferred. 
  • 2–5 years of experience within geospatial, surveying, construction, or civil engineering industries.
  • Strong understanding of land surveying and/or scanning technologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel regionally (up to 50%).
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused. 

 

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience with total stations, GNSS, or 3D laser scanning equipment.
  • Familiarity with CAD, GIS, or point cloud processing software (e.g., Leica Cyclone, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).

What We Offer

Salary: Up to 65k depending on experience, plus commission 

 

Schedule: On-site, Monday- Friday, Salt Lake City, UT
