Fulfill proudly works with a network of nearly 300 partners, including soup kitchens, food pantries and shelters, to provide 1.2 million meals per month to more than 100,000 families, children, seniors and veterans. Committed to more than just food distribution, Fulfill also offers connections to affordable healthcare options, Medicaid, SNAP and other services to help neighbors lead healthy lives with the food they need to thrive.

Who You Are

Fulfill is seeking a highly organized administrative professional for our Receptionist. The Receptionist is the first point of contact for Fulfill, providing a welcoming and professional environment for all visitors, callers, and staff. This role is essential to creating a positive experience for everyone who interacts with our organization—greeting and assisting guests, managing communications, and supporting daily administrative functions. The Receptionist is a real-time problem solver who helps connect community members to resources and embodies Fulfill’s values of respect, responsiveness, and service, ensuring that every interaction reflects our mission to alleviate hunger and build food security in Monmouth & Ocean Counties.

What You'll Do

Front Desk Operations 

  • Greet and direct all visitors, volunteers, Board members, donors, clients, and agency representatives in a professional and courteous manner. 
  • Answer and route incoming calls to appropriate personnel; provide information about Fulfill, including address, directions, and information packages; take and deliver messages as needed. 
  • Guide clients to appropriate resources for food and services. 

Administrative Support 

  • Receive, sort, date-stamp, and distribute all incoming mail and faxes efficiently. 
  • Maintain inventory of shipping supplies (UPS, FedEx, etc.) and office supplies; order and restock as needed. 
  • Assist the Executive Assistant with meeting preparation and administrative tasks as needed. 

Office Coordination 

  • Update the main calendar and All Staff Intercom Phone List. 
  • Monitor volunteer access to the facility. 
  • Ensure Inspection Certificates are current and displayed. 
  • Monitor and respond to all MAIN emails. 
  • Provide backup support to other departments and assist with special projects as assigned. 

Other Duties 

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support Fulfill’s mission and operations.   

What You Bring

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience. 
  • Valid NJ driver’s license required. 
  • Excellent communication, organization, and telephone skills. 
  • Detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and work independently under general supervision. 
  • Proficiency in MS Word, computers, and office/telephone equipment. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to Fulfill’s values, mission, and professional integrity. 
  • Able to communicate effectively and compassionately with a broad variety of Fulfill visitors and callers; able to de-escalate when needed; high degree of emotional intelligence.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Office environment; work is value, goal, and deadline driven. 
  • Extensive computer and phone use; some driving, walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items over 20 pounds. 
  • Frequent interaction with visitors, volunteers, Board members, staff, vendors, and agencies. 
  • May require extended hours periodically. 

 

Salary Range: 

40.0K to $48.0K
