Who You Are

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the accounting department by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with audits and month-end close. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. The Staff Accountant will collaborate with team members across departments to ensure compliance and accuracy in all financial processes.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and account analysis.

  • Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and depreciation records.

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, as needed.

  • Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and financial regulations.

  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support management decisions.

What You Bring

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

  • 1–3 years of accounting experience (internship or full-time) preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting procedures.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or progress toward CPA certification a plus.

  • Experience in Healthcare.

Salary range: $60,000-$65,000 annually. 

 

Work Environment:
This is a part-time role. Occasional overtime may be required during month-end and year-end close.
