The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the accounting department by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with audits and month-end close. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. The Staff Accountant will collaborate with team members across departments to ensure compliance and accuracy in all financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and account analysis.
Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and depreciation records.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, as needed.
Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and financial regulations.
Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support management decisions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
1–3 years of accounting experience (internship or full-time) preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA or progress toward CPA certification a plus.
Experience in Healthcare.

Salary range: $60,000-$65,000 annually.
Work Environment:
This is a part-time role. Occasional overtime may be required during month-end and year-end close.
