What You'll Do

  • Work with company’s PEO
  • Implement all policies and procedures of the Employee Handbook
  • Review, revise, and update the Employee Handbook with PEO on a per-need basis
  • Post position openings, interview candidates, hire and retain employees
  • Conduct new employee on-boarding processes - set-up in attendance software and hand scanner; create door access card and work with IT in setting-up passwords and email account
  • Conduct termination of employment procedures
  • Conduct exit interviews of those leaving Architectural Grille
  • Prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation/training sessions
  • Process workers’ compensation claims and unemployment cases through the company’s PEO
  • Maintain/enhance employee performance and attendance standards through implementation of the company’s observation and evaluation program
  • Take, maintain, and share daily attendance records with the management team
  • Oversee employee compensation and benefits packages in coordination with the CFO
  • Coordinate safety and harassment prevention training for employees
  • Create professional development opportunities for employees through implementation of the company’s evaluation program and in conjunction with managerial recommendations
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere through the fair and consistent implementation of company policies and procedures
  • Meet with individual employees to obtain feedback regarding their employment at Architectural Grille
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state human resource requirements with PEO
  • Investigate employee issues, complaints, and conflicts and bring them to resolution; maintain records; and represent the company at hearings
  • Retain historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records
  • Create training programs with managers for company on board
  • Implement employee team building activities and events
  • Oversee implementation of the company’s Emergency Action plans
  • Performing other duties as required

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar work experience required
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR)/ Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred not required
  • Experience in labor and employee relations
  • Leadership skills with ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Proactive (not reactive) and self-motivated to oversee all human resource activities throughout the organization
  • Verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Time management and planning skills
  • Knowledge of local, state, and national employment laws and guidelines preferred not required
  • Work well under pressure
  • Organized and able to multi-task
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel

What We Offer

Introductory Period: 90 Days

After Thirty Days:

Sick Time

  • 40 hours frontloaded

Paid Time Off (PTO):

  • First year of employment: 5 days annually (40 hours)
  • Beginning 1/1 after completion of two years: 7 days annually (56 hours)
  • Beginning 1/1 after completion of three years: 8 days annually (64 hours)
  • Beginning 1/1 after completion of four years: 9 days annually (72 hours)
  • Beginning 1/1 after completion of five years: 10 days annually (80 hours)
  • Beginning 1/1 after completion of six thru nine years: 15 days annually (120 hours)
  • Beginning 1/1 after completion of 10 years plus: 20 days annually (160 hours)

After One Year:

  • Ability to contribute to the company 401(k) plan
  • Safe Harbor Plan 3% of your salary
  • Profit Sharing Plan

Salary: $70k - $80k per year based on experience
