Site Civil Project Engineer

L.K. McLean Associates, D.P.C. (LKMA) is an 80+person engineering and land surveying firm, which was founded in 1950 with offices in both Suffolk and Nassau County on Long Island. LKMA is seeking highly motivated site/civil engineers to join our growing firm. The ideal candidate will have between 4-8 years of experience in land development and/or municipal projects and be committed to the advancement of their career.

• Collaborate with team members to perform the design, computation, and evaluation of various land development and municipal projects
• Develop concise Construction Documents, including Plans, Technical Specifications & Estimates
• Provide permitting assistance to navigate projects through various municipal entitlements
• Provide construction support services, including review of shop drawings, submittals, and RFI’s
• Apply technical design skills and utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop design plans
• Projects may require: site planning, roadway design, coastal & marine design, grading and drainage design, sanitary design, lighting design, soil erosion and sediment control planning, and SWPPP reporting

• 4-8 years’ experience in site/civil design
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field
• EIT desirable; PE license a plus
• Strong computer skills including practical experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience with State & local agencies a plus
• Strong organization and oral/written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Salary Range: $90,000- $125,000
