Who We Are

We're building the future of space access by designing and delivering high-performance satellite platforms that scale from early demonstration missions to full constellations. Our integrated bus-and-payload approach gives customers a faster, more reliable path from concept to orbit. If you're passionate about precision engineering and want your work to fly—literally—we'd love to meet you.

Who You Are

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our core spacecraft engineering team. You’ll design and develop key mechanical systems across our satellite platforms—including structural elements, thermal management, and integration hardware. This role is open to a range of backgrounds—whether you're ready to take full ownership of major subsystems or are developing advanced technical skills, we want to hear from you.

You'll collaborate closely with avionics, propulsion, RF, and systems teams to deliver flight-ready hardware that meets aggressive performance, mass, and schedule goals.

What You'll Do

Depending on experience and interest, responsibilities may include:

  • Own or contribute to the mechanical design of satellite structures, mechanical enclosures, and thermal systems
  • Lead or support design trades, modeling, and analysis (FEA, thermal, vibrational, etc.)
  • Develop CAD, drawings, and GD&T to production quality
  • Oversee or assist with manufacturing processes, DFM/DFA reviews, and vendor interactions
  • Contribute to or manage environmental test plans (TVAC, vibration, shock)
  • Participate in or lead system-level architecture and integration strategy

What You Bring

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3–10+ years of experience designing and building complex mechanical systems; aerospace strongly preferred
  • Experience with CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX/Teamcenter) and FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN)
  • Strong understanding of structural dynamics, thermal design, and materials for space environments
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, iterative development environment

Nice to Have

  • Flight heritage on spacecraft, aircraft, or similarly high-reliability systems
  • Experience with rapid hardware iteration or satellite production
  • Knowledge of deployables, mechanisms, and propulsion integration
  • Familiarity with spaceflight qualification standards (NASA GEVS, MIL-STD-1540)
  • Experience with harness design

ITAR Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by U.S. export control laws (e.g., U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) and eligible to work on ITAR-regulated projects.

What We Offer

Why Join Us

  • Work on spacecraft systems that will fly in space
  • Directly influence the design of a scalable satellite platform
  • Take ownership of high-impact subsystems in a collaborative, cross-functional team
  • Competitive salary, meaningful equity, and full benefits
  • Early-stage environment with significant upside and growth opportunities

Compensation

Pay Range: $130,000.00 - $200,000.00 / year

Your final level and starting salary will be individually assessed and may differ depending on factors such as relevant skills and expertise, educational background, and professional experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total compensation package. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, dental coverage, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance and 401k contributions . Additionally, we have unlimited time off, along with 10 or more paid holidays per year.
