Who You Are

Emerging Power Inc is currently looking for a full-time shipping clerk to work at our Hackensack, NJ facility.

What You'll Do

  • Pulling, packing, loading orders
  • Scheduling shipments on a daily basis with various trucking companies, UPS, and FedEx
  • Tracks, traces, and updates status of outgoing shipments
  • Organizes stock within warehouse by properly boxing and labeling product and puts product in their proper location(s)
  • Scanning and sorting outgoing product
  • Ensure all shipments receive proper labeling
  • Provides additional back-up support for shipping/receiving manager
  • Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude
  • Keep management and immediate supervisor aware of product shortages in order to maintain accurate inventory counts

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 6+ months of shipping experience preferred
  • Forklift certification a plus (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
  • Experience with UPS/FedEx shipping systems and/or Hazmat shipping registration a plus
  • Ability to read and complete packing slips and bills of lading
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and sense of urgency
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

What We Offer

Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

 

Full-time benefits include: 401(k), health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and paid time off


Hourly rate: $19.00–$21.00 per hour, based on experience
