Part Time Culinary Driver

Fulfill, the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, has been dedicated to addressing hunger in the Jersey Shore community since 1984. Our mission is to accelerate food security throughout Monmouth & Ocean Counties by leading a collaborative movement that connects people to food and related resources while also addressing systemic barriers to self-sufficiency and well-being. Fulfill proudly works with a network of nearly 300 partners, including soup kitchens, food pantries and shelters to provide 1.3 million meals per month to more than 130,000 families, children, seniors and veterans in need. Committed to more than just food distribution, Fulfill also offers connections to affordable healthcare options, Medicaid, SNAP and other services to help neighbors lead healthy lives with the food they need to thrive.

Our headquarters is in Neptune with a satellite branch (The BEAT Center) in Toms River.

This position is primarily responsible for the timely, efficient and safe pick up and distribution of food and product to the clients Fulfill serves. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Responsible for the conscientious and safe operation of all company vehicles. 
• Follows established procedures and assigned routes for the timely and efficient pick-up and delivery of goods
• submits all receipts and vouchers for gas, oil, tolls, and other related expenses  
• completes daily travel logs. 
• maintains vehicle in clean, safe, and good condition at all times
• Reports problems or damage to manager immediately
• accurately accounts for all products received or outgoing, and submits associated documentation. 
• Demonstrates professionalism and speaks respectfully when interacting with staff, volunteers, community, or agency representatives.  
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications 

• High school degree or equivalent required
• Able to read and interpret documents, forms, procedures
• Able to write routine reports, complete forms/logs
• Valid NJ driving license and good driving record are required
• Safety and sound operation of vehicle is essential
• Follows all Fulfill procedures; demonstrates a commitment to the values, mission and professional integrity

Personal Attribute 

We are looking for a responsible, organized and patient person who is personable while representing Fulfill to our clients and community. 

Compensation & Work Environment

$17-$18 per hour

Warehouse environment. Extensive driving, walking, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying items weighing up to 55 pounds. 

Drives company vehicles and exposed to outside weather conditions. This role has regular contact with volunteers and clients 

NJ passed a Pay Transparency Law which requires NJ based hiring to include a compensation range on each job posting. This compensation range is presented in good faith for candidates that are hired in these roles will be presented a salary within the range stated on the job posting.
