Who You Are

The Foreman manages installation crews performing access control, CCTV/IP video, intrusion, and related low-voltage security systems. This position coordinates workflow, assigns tasks, ensures proper material staging, and maintains strict adherence to safety and technical standards. The Foreman serves as the on-site authority for installation quality, troubleshooting, documentation, and coordination with project managers, general contractors, and other trades.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, supervise, and support crews installing low-voltage security systems in mission-critical data center environments.
  • Plan daily work activities, allocate labor, and ensure materials, tools, and equipment are properly staged.
  • Install, configure, test, and commission access control, CCTV/IP cameras, intrusion systems, and related devices.
  • Perform quality control checks on terminations, device placement, labeling, cable routing, and system testing.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate solutions with engineering and project management.
  • Interpret and enforce blueprints, riser diagrams, wiring schematics, and installation standards.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, site-specific safety rules, and Flash Security procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, general contractors, and other trades to maintain workflow and resolve field issues.
  • Complete daily reports, redlines, checklists, and commissioning documentation.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians to develop skill sets and ensure consistent workmanship.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading crews in low-voltage, electrical, or electronic security installations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of access control, CCTV/IP video, intrusion systems, and basic networking.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Proficiency with multimeters, cable testers, power tools, and termination/testing procedures.
  • OSHA 30 and Aerial Lift Certification required.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in data centers or other mission-critical facilities.
  • Structured cabling and IP networking experience.
  • Manufacturer certifications (Lenel, CCure, Bosch, Axis, Honeywell, etc.).
  • Experience coordinating with multiple trades and managing subcontractors.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and develop junior technicians.
