Bindery Operator

Perfect Communications is seeking an experienced bindery operator to join our team. We are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions on all shifts. This position requires the ability to set up and operate a range of bindery and finishing equipment, including cutters, folders, tabbers, inkjet units and stitchers. Preference will be given to candidates with experience on multiple types of equipment, but consideration will be given to those with experience on some of these machines and a willingness to cross-train.

• Set up, operate and troubleshoot bindery equipment, including cutters, folders, tabbers, inkjet units and stitchers.
• Read and follow job tickets and production specifications to complete jobs accurately and on schedule.
• Perform quality checks throughout each run and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on bindery equipment.
• Keep the work area clean, organized and safe.
• Communicate job status and any issues to supervisors and team members, including at shift changeover.
• Assist in all finishing operations as production workload may require.

• Hands-on experience setting up and operating bindery equipment (cutters, folders, tabbers, inkjet units and/or stitchers).
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to stand for length of shift.
• Ability to bend and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime based on work volume.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions regarding quality and production output requirements.

Pay: $26.50 per hour, with shift and experience differentials available.
